Her Story

Charlie is, quite simply, unbelievable. Her foster mom describes her as one of the most devoted and loyal beings she's ever met, and it's easy to understand why. With her stunning chocolate-brown coat and beautiful, soulful eyes, Charlie is a head-turner, but it's her gentle nature that really makes her special. Suspected to be a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix, Charlie is about four years old and has the calm, laid-back temperament of a dog who has seen a thing or two. She's incredibly attentive, wonderfully docile, and seems happiest when she's right beside her people.

Charlie is now getting ready to close one chapter of her life and begin another. After raising her final litter of puppies, she'll be spayed and, for perhaps the first time, get to simply be someone's beloved dog. She would happily spend her days at her human's side and, if you let her, quite literally in your lap. Charlie doesn't ask for much—just the chance to be close, to be loved, and to finally have the lifetime of devotion and security she so deserves. We think she's more than earned it.
