We are headquartered in Carberry, MB! However, because we are a 100% foster-based rescue, our animals live in loving foster homes across the entire province. This means we do not have a central facility for public viewing.

Because our rescue is run by dedicated volunteers and a network of foster homes, we do not have public visiting hours. Our administrative team monitors messages and applications regularly. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please submit an adoption application to coordinate a private meet-and-greet!

Please remember that our team consists entirely of volunteers who balance rescue work with full-time jobs, families, and foster dogs. We appreciate your patience and will respond as soon as possible.
About Our Dogs

Most of our dogs come from northern and remote Manitoba communities where access to veterinary care and rescue resources can be limited.

Many northern communities face significant barriers to accessing affordable veterinary care, including limited clinics, long travel distances, and few spay and neuter services. Without these resources, unwanted litters and stray dog populations can grow quickly.
We work alongside community members, animal advocates, and local partners to help provide these dogs with the medical care, safety, and second chance they deserve.

Each dog is different. We include everything we've observed in foster care, but every home and every dog is unique.

Not always. Many dogs are learning to live indoors for the first time. Foster homes work hard to teach household routines, and we'll let you know where each dog is in their journey.

Whenever possible, dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption. If that's not possible due to age or medical reasons, we'll discuss the plan with adopters.
About Adopting

Our adoption process is simple:
(1) Submit an online application so we can learn about you and your home.
(2) Complete a virtual home check to help us ensure a safe and successful match.
(3) Schedule a meet-and-greet with your new potential family member.
(4) Once approved, review and sign the adoption agreement.
(5) Pay the adoption fee via cash or e-transfer.
(6) Schedule a time to pick up your new furry friend!

Our goal is to make successful, lifelong matches. The application helps us learn about your home, experience, and expectations so we can recommend the best fit for both you and the dog.

To protect our foster families' privacy and schedule efficiently, we require an application before arranging any meetings. Please note that this does not mean you have to commit to an adoption! It simply helps us ensure a safe and successful match.

Our adoption fees are:
Puppies: $400
Adult Dogs: $400
Senior Dogs: $175

We commit to our rescue dogs for life. If an adoption does not work out, our agreement stipulates a 14-day trial period with all measures attempted, and requires that the dog be returned directly to our care.We ask for your patience during this transition, as we must coordinate an open, secure foster home to ensure the dog's safety and comfort.

Yes, in some circumstances.
Out-of-province adoptions are considered on a case-by-case basis. Additional transportation arrangements, home checks, and adoption requirements may apply.

Every adoption fee directly funds vital medical care. This includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, SNAP tests for adults, and any immediate veterinary treatments required during intake.
For your convenience, we accept cash or e-transfer for adoption fee payments. All fees must be completed before scheduling the pickup of your dog.

Yes, provided pets are permitted and any required landlord approval has been obtained.

Fostering means opening your home to a rescue dog while they wait for their forever family.
As a foster, you'll provide daily care, love, socialization, transportation to veterinary appointments when needed, and updates that help us find the perfect adopter.
We'll provide guidance and support every step of the way, and you're never alone in the process.

The rescue covers approved veterinary care and other agreed-upon expenses.
We'll discuss what supplies you may need before your foster arrives, and our team is always available if questions or concerns come up.

Not at all.
While experience can be helpful, it's not required. We provide support, resources, and guidance throughout the fostering journey, and we're always just a message away.

Definitely! There are many ways to help beyond fostering, including transportation, fundraising, event support, administrative work, photography, social media, home visits, crafting, and more.

About Donations

We are incredibly grateful for physical donations to help care for our dogs!
We regularly accept:
- Unopened dog food and treats (wet and dry)
- Leashes, collars, and harnesses
- Kennels, crates, and carriers
- Blankets, sheets, towels, and beds
- Pee pads, dog diapers
- Cleaning supplies
- Dog Toys
