Compassion in Action. Stories of Hope. Tails to Tell.

Adopt. Foster. Volunteer. Donate. Change a story forever.

Every dog that comes through our doors carries a unique journey—a tail to tell.

A Tail to Tell Frontline Rescue (ATTFR) is committed to giving Manitoba’s unhoused dogs the opportunity to heal, thrive, and find families who will cherish them. We work alongside northern communities, fosters, veterinarians, volunteers, and adopters to provide veterinary care, transportation, rehabilitation, and lifelong matches.

We believe rescue is about more than saving lives - it’s about honouring each dog's story and helping them write a better ending.

Rescue Takes a Community

As a volunteer-run, non-profit rescue, we rely almost entirely on donations to continue our work. Every dollar helps provide the veterinary care, food, supplies, enrichment, and support our dogs need throughout their journey with us. Whether it's helping a puppy get the healthiest possible start or giving an older dog the medical care they deserve, your generosity makes rescue possible.

Who we are…

ATTFR is a Manitoba-based, volunteer-run dog rescue dedicated to giving dogs a second chance. We work with communities, fosters, volunteers, and adopters to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs while building lasting relationships that strengthen animal welfare across the province. Every dog has a story—and we're here to help them write their next chapter.

Who our dogs are…

Every dog that comes into our care has a story to tell. Many have come from northern and rural Manitoba communities, while others are surrendered through no fault of their own. Some arrive confident and ready for their next adventure, while others need time, patience, and a safe place to heal. No matter where they come from or what they've experienced, every dog deserves the chance to feel safe, loved, and part of a family.

You don't have to adopt, foster, or make a financial donation to make a meaningful impact. Rescue thrives because people share their time, talents, and ideas in all kinds of ways. From creative projects and fundraising to transportation, photography, yard work, or simply lending a hand when it's needed, every contribution helps us care for more dogs. Together, we're creating a community where everyone has something valuable to offer.
